Findings in the Doctoral Dissertations of Nankai University Nankai University has been an important base in the study of Russian sinology and in the doctoral education of such relevant areas. Under supervision of professor Yan Guodong, 6 doctors and post-doctoral researchers in recent years have focused their works upon translations and studies of Chinese literature in Russia, and they made in-depth investigations in the spreading and receiving history of Chinese literature in Russia in terms of classical and modern poetry, classical and modern novel, contemporary literature and drama, which are up to now the most systematic and comprehensive subject-specified investigations in the area and thus play an important part in forwarding the study of Russian sinology in China.
