Russian Chinese (Simplified)

To come to Russia foreign citizens need to apply for visa. Scholarly exchange visas are issued by Russian Embassies and Consulates abroad against the official invitation issued by the university (enough for citizens of China, India and EU) or “yellow card”, issued by the Federal Immigration Agency (for non EU countries).  In order to draw a scholarly exchange visa invitation, we need to receive by April 15, 2024 a clear scanned copy of your passport’s front page and a “Participant’s info” form. Please, fill all the blanks and send it to ifel@spbu.ru. We expect to deliver you the invitation by the end of May. Another option is to apply online for electronic visa, that does not require invitation from the university, see https://electronic-visa.kdmid.ru/index_en.html  This visa is given for 16 days, it takes 4 days to get itall forms are filled online, it is also a humanitarian type visa.

The type of the visa suitable for conference is “Ordinary humanitarian visa” (subtype “Scholarly and technical exchange”), not a tourist visa. The exact regulations (fees, processing time, documents) differ from country to country on reciprocal basis, please, check with the nearest Russian embassy or consulate.

When filling in the visa application you may need to know the following information:
