Проблемы литератур Дальнего Востока. Часть 1

Новые вопросы изучения классической китайской литературы... Issues of Far Eastern Literatures. Vol. 1. 2018 407 Wang Yao (Soochow University, China) “Cultural Confidence”: Literature in Inheritance and Innovation Chinese contemporary literature is a history of constantly building cultural confidence in the process of inheriting and creatively transforming excellent traditional culture. Faced with the “old tradition” before the May 4th movement and the “new tradition” after that, contemporary literature presents a complex state of “fracture” and “connection”. On one hand, “excellent traditional culture” continues in different ways and forms, on the other hand, contemporary literature makes judgments and choices on “traditional culture” and “literary heritage” in a specific historical context. Also, contemporary literary creation and research has been related to “excellent traditional culture” and “literary heritage”. The cognition of “excellent traditional culture” and “new literary tradition” in 1950s and 1960s profoundly influenced the creation at that time, especially the “revolutionary narration” of literature. Literature in the new period has a wider and deeper connection with “excellent cultural traditions” in terms of values, global perspectives and aesthetics standards. The relationship between contemporary literature and excellent traditional culture is practiced in “dialogue” between critically inheriting national cultural traditions and absorbing foreign cultures, which can be seen as both sides of a coin.
